Google AdSense and Pay Per Click Marketing

One mistake that most people tend to make at some point in their Internet marketing career is lumping all forms of advertising into one particular mold. This is often done in the case of pay per click marketing. People are aware that absolute fortunes are being made through the Google Adwords system, so they naturally think that any pay per click marketing system will work wonders for their business. Is this the case? Let's take a look at a few of the pay per click marketing systems that are available online and see which ones will do the most for your business. Of course, the king of all pay per click marketing systems is run by Google. It is their Adwords system that drives the entire process. Once you choose your relevant keywords and ads that go into the system, they will almost immediately be displayed alongside the search engine result pages. Not only that, you also have the choice of whether to display them on millions of websites around the world through the Google Adsense system. This can get your website a lot of exposure and traffic in a short period of time. If used correctly, it can make your business an almost immediate success. The second on the list of pay per click marketing systems is Yahoo search marketing or YSM for short. This is also advertising that is available through a very reputable source and you can receive a decent amount of traffic by using this system as well. YSM tends to be a little bit more difficult to understand than the AdWords system but once you get the hang of it, it is easy to add keywords or change your ads and manage your entire campaign online. Even though they don't send as much traffic as Google, you still get some very qualified clicks by using this program. A newcomer on to the pay per click marketing scene is MSN. Their system still has, in my opinion, some bugs that need to be worked out in order for it to be truly user-friendly. It still is not a system, however, that should be overlooked if you are serious about your pay per click marketing efforts. Although MSN receives a small share of searchers in comparison with Google and Yahoo, they do tend to be those that purchase more readily. If you have the time to learn it, the system can send you some qualified traffic on a consistent basis. Finally, we have all of the other pay per click marketing systems that are available. Many of the systems will not send you much traffic, if any at all and many of them are riddled with click fraud problems. There are a few in there, however, that can send you the traffic that you need but these take a distant backseat to the big three. If you have the time for it and the budget, they are worth doing some experimenting.

How to do online marketing without even having a product to sell.

Affiliate marketing provides first time online marketers like you the chance to market something online even without having your own product to sell. All you have to do is to sign up with an affiliate marketing program, which is usually owned by an online merchant or retailer, and start picking the products you want to promote. As an affiliate, you are paid by the merchant for your services on a commission basis, that is whenever you have directed a visitor to the merchant's site and the visitor actually buys something.Becoming an affiliate in an affiliate marketing program is often quick and easy, and for most affiliate programs, signing up is also free. But despite these and all the benefits being promised by affiliate programs, many people are still hesitant to get into affiliate marketing. One of the reasons why a lot of people remain hesitant is the lack of a website to start marketing his affiliate products with. This now leads us to the question of whether a website is required or necessary in affiliate marketing or not. Many people say that one can do affiliate marketing even without a website to start with. Actually, one can really start promoting and marketing his affiliate products even without a website; and there exist a lot of ways on how this can be done. In fact, many affiliate marketing strategies that leads to success can exist without actually needing a website. Among these strategies are email marketing, offline promotions, writing e-books, writing ezines and engaging in online discussions like forums, chats, message boards and others.*Email MarketingEmail marketing, or maintaining email lists, is actually the most popular affiliate marketing strategy that doesn't require the affiliate to maintain a website. In this affiliate marketing strategy, what you basically do is maintain a list of the email ads of your prospective customers and provide them with articles that are relevant with the affiliate products and programs you are promoting. Articles that you provide your contacts with need not always be promotional, for many individuals find such types of email annoying. Rather, it would be better if you provide them with something informative and just add small text ads that link to your merchant's site.*Offline PromotionThere are many ways on how you can promote your affiliate products offline. Among the common medium used for such promotions are classified ads, brochures and flyers. Classified ads would generally work better compared to the other two because classified ads in periodicals often get a wider audience.*Writing Free e-booksIf you have a knack in writing, writing an e-book can be the best way for you to promote your affiliate products in the absence of an actual website. Just like in emails and newsletters, your readers would better appreciate your e-book if it is not too promotional but rather informative. Be sure, however, to make the contents of your e-books relative to the actual affiliate products you are promoting. And just like in email marketing, you can just place text ads or banners somewhere near the end of your e-book that links to the merchant's site.*Writing Free EzinesEzines are publications or articles that aim to inform individuals about a particular topic. If you don't have a website and yet want to be an affiliate, you can well use ezines to promote your affiliate products or to insert links to your merchant's site. If you have a website, your ezine article may actually work well as content for your site. But since you have no website, you can just submit your free ezine articles to various websites that hosts ezines, like goarticles.com, ezinearticles.com and others.*Online discussions (Forums, Chats, Message Boards, etc.)With or without a website, you just can't ignore online discussions because they are great venues for marketing your affiliate products. In chats, forums, message boards and discussion boards with topics related to your products, you can easily find people who may be interested with the products you are promoting. With all these strategies, it may appear that one really doesn't need to have a website to start marketing his affiliate products and promoting his affiliate programs. Well, starting in an affiliate program without a website may be easy, but getting successful in affiliate marketing without a website is another thing. While one can actually gain enormous success in affiliate marketing even without a website, it is a rare instance that "newbies" like you can reach the same levels of success.Having a website is not really a pre-requisite in entering into an affiliate program, unless otherwise the program owner would require you to have one. But while this is so, I would still recommend that you have for yourself a website, if not now, then maybe at a later time. Having a website creates a lot of advantages in affiliate marketing. For one, it provides you a place where you can creatively promote not only one of your affiliate products but all of your affiliate products. With a website, you can also advertise your affiliate products to a wider market.Again, having a website is not a requirement in affiliate marketing. But with the advantages that a website can provide, I'd rather have one for myself and make affiliate marketing a lot easier for me.

Article marketing offers many advantages for the online business owner. Some of these include: * the ability to attract search engines and increase your site's marketability. Search engines determine the value of your site by the number of useful links pointing to it. This is how your site climbs positions in the search engine rankings. * Promotion through article directories dramatically increases traffic to your website. Your articles are used by other websites, printed in e-Zines and featured in newsletters. * A free method of reaching thousands of buyers interested in the type of product or service you are offering. Once you promote your marketing article on the relevant directories, you are finished with that part of your marketing. The traffic developed through the article directories will continue to grow and you won't have to do anything else with that article. * The ability to get many links posted on other sites. Every time a link to your marketing article is posted on another site, you gain the opportunity to reach all of that site's visitors as prospective customers. Promote and publish informational articles about your product or service and gain the trust of potential buyers. Through article marketing you have the ability to become an authority on your topic of interest. How it Works online article marketing provides directory publishers with free content. It also provides web-based businesses with free advertising. Promotional articles are written to target certain niche markets. They are then distributed to directories that focus on those markets. This provides business owners with a ready-made audience that already has an interest in the topic. Readers are allowed to reprint articles from the directories, provided they include the original author's information box. The result is that your article is now posted on another website, and you gain that site's traffic. What makes a good marketing article? Every marketing article must contain key elements. These are: * Original content * Quality content * Relevant keywords * Marketability to high traffic directories * Author information leading the visitor to your site It costs you nothing to submit your articles to these article directories. This means free advertising for your website. It also means increased traffic to your website. You may also choose to have someone else write your articles for you. For a minimal fee, you can hire a company or individual to create the content for your marketing articles. Using this method, you have invested little financially and have reduced the time you must dedicate to your marketing. Your Author's Information Box A few essential items must be included in the author information box of your marketing article. The following items attract the reader to your site. * Your name * a valid link to your website * USP (Unique Selling Proposition): What makes you and your product or service different from all others? * A call to action in which you prompt the reader to go to your website You may choose to include these options as well: * Your contact information * A free report: Just as you like free advertising, your customers like to get something free for visiting your site. * An address to your free E-zine subscription: Offering a free E-zine is another method of attracting potential buyers and gaining credibility in your area of expertise. One of the most effective tools for promotion and advertising available to you as an Internet business owner is the use of article marketing. Article Marketing information about internet marketing techniques

One of the newest ways to draw traffic to a website is by an internet marketing technique known as Article Marketing. There are three things that assist a website in being successful, popularity, navigation, and content. Navigation is in the hands of the Webmaster. Whereas popularity and content is the responsibility of the website owner Article marketing helps these last to two to excel. The internet is controlled by search engines and they are information junkies. And like any junkie they are forever in pursuit of a new fix. Knowing how to take an article and distribute it to your advantage is a present day necessity. Because when a search engine gets high on some content it rewards its owner by promoting a websites ranking which generates the ever welcome organic (free) traffic. And traffic is the life supporting blood of internet prosperity. Article marketing needs obviously articles to operate. Unlike articles one might find in newsstands and magazines internet content has specific requirements to have any real value. Since search engines locate information requests from internet users by using a system utilizing keywords internet articles must incorporate keywords into the body of written content. Understanding how to create articles with the proper amount of keyword density is not accidental. If one has not taken the time to research this needed article marketing requirement they should seriously consider hiring professional writers to accumulate needed content. Placing articles void of this keyword density necessity on their websites or to Article directory's do so in vain. One key components of article marketing is the submitting of content to Article Directories. There are hundreds if not thousands of these types of directories on the internet. These directories act as a source for website owners to find fresh content for their own websites or newsletter. The more directories one submits there articles to the more exposure a website gets. Search engines favor large sites when indexing. By having an article in directories the search engines will visit your website more frequently. And if the content pleases the expectations of the search engines it will improve where you rank with other websites promoting the same services or products. When submitting to Article Directory's each article is usually allowed to include an author’s resource box. This resource box is another important area to understand to make article marketing meaningful. The resource box allows the reader to know who wrote the article and how to find them if so desired. Because of copy write laws it must be included anywhere the article is placed on the internet. In this resource box an anchor tested URL is placed in it which not only makes it easy for the reader to click to your site but when placed on another website creates a back link. As the article is used more and more on the internet these back links start to increase the popularity of a website. At least that’s how the search engines will register these numerous locations when submitting articles to directories are sure to use different formats. Experiment to see which type of format is generating clicks. Good article marketing requires intelligent labor. To run a successful article marketing campaign one must be consistent and quality conscious. When you first start a campaign consider submitting at least one article a day. This will quickly increase back links. After the first month you can slow down a bit but never stop. Article marketing succeeds because of its creating a viral effect. It behaves like the well known pyramid game. An article once it spreads starts to create back links in an ongoing exponential fashion. However, the more it appears the less value it has with the search engines. Nevertheless even though its value for improving search engine ranking diminishes it still grows in value for generating traffic. Another thing to be sure to do is proof read the articles before submitting them. Good article marketing needs good grammar too. The better your article appears the more credibility it will get. And the more credible the more readers will trust the source. Article marketing can be very time consume because you will want to spread your articles to as many article directories as possible this will suck up a lot of time. This dilemma can be resolved a couple of ways. One way is to engage the services of businesses that specialize in doing this for you. This will save you time but many of these services, the better ones, can be pricey. Another way is to purchase software that is designed to submit articles. Normally they have hundreds of directories catalogued in there application. Many directories have automated receiving plug-ins that will automatically accept submissions. However, many don't allow automatic submission from software devices. So mix it up. Submit your articles to the major directories personally then use the software to contact the rest. Regardless of how you decide to run your article marketing efforts are sure you do it. Article marketing is a time proven benefit to engage in if you wish to increase traffic to a website. And we all know another word for traffic is Money. The more traffic your article marketing generates is the more money you'll be stuffing in your virtual pockets.

Affiliate marketing -- the truth about it

The truth behind affiliate marketing is the fact that 90% of affiliates will actually make less than 100$ a month. Therefore, you shouldn't count on makingfull time income unless you can get very good at the following: 1. Building a good web site that converts.2. Search engine optimization. You'll need a lot of traffic, as maybe 1 out of 200 visitors will buy your products. SEO can help you get your site in the search engines so more people will be able to find you.3. The trial and error of picking the right merchants and learning the correct ways to promote them.Too many people out there assume that affiliate marketing is actually a get rich quick type of program. These types of people will throw up a couple of banners, then wonder why they never make a single sale or any money at all.How long you'll need to do it depends on how much money you are wanting to make. If you are a quick learner and really good at affiliate marketing, youmight make $2,000 in 2 years. This is based on the fact that you are starting at 0 and the fact that you have another full time job, not being able to devote a lot of time working with your affiliate marketing program. If you decide to give it a try, the hardest challenge will be the first few months. If you check your stats and see that you are only making a couple ofbucks, you'll find yourself wondering if all the hard work was worth it. If you get some sales going and stay committed with your hard work, the commissions should start growing. One of the biggest factors with affiliate marketing is the traffic that goes through your site. Even though you'll get a lot of traffic passing throughyour website, only a fraction of the traffic will be buyers. The key here is knowing your visitors and then being able to determine which affiliate programs you can offer to meet their needs. There is also the concept of pre sale, which is the ability to put your visitors in an open mind set that's required for them to actually click on what you are selling.By sticking with affiliate marketing, you'll learn more and more over the years. You can't expect to be the best when you first start, it'll take a lotof hard work and dedication. By putting the time and effort into your programs, you'll be well on your way to making it in the very profitable andexciting world of affiliate marketing.

How To Secure Your Future With Affiliate Marketing Programs

Most people entering internet marketing for the first time start off with affiliate marketing programs. These are programs whereby you promote products for others for a commission on the sales that your promotion leads to making money being online. In fact, that is an aspect of affiliate marketing that many people misunderstand. Unlike salesmen working for their company on commission for each sale they make, you are not actually selling anything. Your job is to advertise and promote the products in any way you can, and there are many ways to do so. The ultimate result of your promotion is that the prospect is sent to the merchant's sales page that does the selling. There are many ways in which you can promote the products for which you are an affiliate. The benefits of affiliate marketing programs include the automation of many of the procedures involved, so that once you have set a program up you have very little hands-on involvement. The prospects that visit your referring site read your promotional material that could be in the form of a review for example, and then click on to the merchant's site. You have nothing to do after that other than to be paid and become a wealthy marketer. Some affiliate marketing programs also include an element of network marketing, whereby you can also get paid for recruiting others to the affiliate program. You can get paid a percentage of the sales price for the products that are sold as a result of the referrals of your recruits that also led to sales. That does not affect your recruits' commission at all: yours is in addition to that. In fact, where the network payment goes two levels deep, you also get paid for the sales of the referrals of the recruits that your recruits recruit (if you can make sense of all these recruits!).Where the payment levels go a few deep, this is termed multi-level marketing (MLM). A good MLM program is where the majority of the wealth in the company comes from sales, generally of products belonging to the company. Some generate their wealth primarily through payments made by recruits as registration fees or payments for promotional items, but you avoid these. By far the best are programs such as Wealthy Marketer whereby the majority of the income is from the products. The reason for this is that unless there is cash entering the program from sales rather than payments made by members of it, then eventually those members joining the program later must lose out, because everybody cannot profit without money coming in from external sources. Another aspect of such programs is that there should not be too many levels paying you. It might seem better for you the more levels that pay you, but ultimately that mean that there is less for those in the lower levels.Programs such as 1up and 2up programs pay only up to three levels, similar to many regular affiliate payment arrangements where the merchant pays out to one or two levels. These are the types of program you should enter, not those that offer what seem to be marvelous promises but on checking closer could not possible be tenable to any other than those that get into the program at the beginning.A genuine affiliate marketing program pays only to a few levels down because that is how everybody gets a fair share of the income; it doesn't all go the originators and his personal recruits, who are likely his friends and relatives. A maximum of three levels is ideal because it gives everybody a good share of the income without those farther down the levels getting zilch. Irrespective of where you enter such a program, you can earn no less than anybody else. It is up to you. These last five words are important, because like any marketing program you get out what you out in. If you are prepared to do a bit of work, then you will earn more. Internet affiliate marketing is not about taking it easy and waiting for the cash to roll in: it doesn't happen that way. One day it might, but all these millionaire entrepreneurs you read about worked their guts out to get there. It could be you one day, but you have to work to get there. Some affiliate marketing programs make it easier to get there than others, and it is up to you which you choose. If you make the right choice, you too could be bringing in big bucks every month. Look around the internet, check out what is available and use the program that you feel is most suited to you and you will be on your way to becoming a wealthy marketer.

Few Tips for Developing an Effective Article Marketing Strategy

I've used many traffic generation strategies over the years, including search engine optimization, free classifieds, social marketing, forum posting, as well as other strategies that aren't effective anymore: ffa pages, safelists, etc.During that time, I've found that writing and submitting articles has been the most effective way for me to drive traffic to my sites. There are a lot of reasons for this, but the most important is giving others a taste of the type of content available on my sites and demonstrating how what I offer can solve visitors' problems.Although there are many ways you can improve your articles to get better results, here are five article marketing strategies that can increase your results.1. Don't just write good articles; write a lot of them. The more articles you have circulating on the internet, the more chances you have of being read by your target market. This is especially important if you have more than one specialty. You'll want to write a wide variety of articles on your particular topic and circulate them to as many article directories as possible to broaden your reach.Remember, article directories are your friends. Directory owners are looking for great content for their visitors, and they can help you get better exposure. Treat them right by giving them good content.2. Submit to directories that offer RSS feeds.RSS is really simple syndication. It's a form of code that's search engine friendly. Many websites use this code to display constantly updated content on their websites, and so it's another opportunity for others to find your articles.Make sure you submit your articles to sites that offer this, and it's even better if there's a syndication feed for you by name in case others want to syndicate your content specifically.3. Don't obsess over the duplicate content penalty.Duplicate content is something that really has gotten a bad rap. I really do believe that many of the article directories available today would shut down if they weren't benefiting from the "duplicate content" they're receiving. Sites like Google, Yahoo, and MSN all use duplicate content with their news services, as well as other features on their sites. These sites are more interested in good content on sites than obsessing over sites that use duplicate content because the ultimate goal of content is to serve the readers. As an article writer, it's not your responsibility to worry about getting the article directories indexed anyway. Your job is to write good articles that site owners, ezine owners, and article directories want to publish.Regardless of how many times your article is published on the internet, at least one copy will be found in the search engines, so why worry about it?4. Pay particular attention to your resource box.No one wants to hear your life story. What they want to know is how you can help them solve their problems. Although your articles give your readers a taste of how you can help them, your resource box should drive them back to your website for a complete solution.Although you may want to tell others a little about yourself, as well as your credentials, don't waste your time telling others about your personal life, where you're from, or your likes and dislikes. Give your visitors a reason to visit your site: a free report, white paper, newsletter, or something that further explains your solution. Build a relationship. It makes it easier to sell your product.5. Check your word count. Most article directories have some type of guidelines about the articles they accept, and the requirements you need to meet to get your articles accepted.Word count is probably one of the biggest things that causes writers problems now. If your article is too short, it won't get accepted. Sometimes your article can even be too long. You can give plenty of information in your article without it being too long. Most article directories will accept articles that are between 400 and 750 words. Some article directories will require your article be at least 500 words. Hit somewhere in between these numbers, and your article will be fine. There are many things you can do to improve your acceptance rate on your articles. The most important is to just write good articles, and you'll get read.

Article marketing - No need to spend any money

Article marketing is a proven marketing technique that can be done without spending any money at all. That is one of the things that make it so appealing. Another appeal is that almost anyone can write well enough to utilize article marketing to some degree in order to promote a product or service. Article marketing can generate traffic, lead to backlinks, and ultimately result in increased sales. The secret to article marketing is that there are not any real secrets. We all communicate with one another and that is what articles are about, communicating with each other through that specific format. Of course, in order to get the most from your articles special attention should be paid to the following: 1) Carefully select the title 2) Provide what Internet users are looking for 3) Create a resource box that gets results 4) Know where and how to submit The article title can either result in instant reads or it can result in the article totally being ignored. Your article title should grab the attention of the reader but there is more to choosing a title than just that. It is important to include your keywords in the title and it helps if your title is also unique. Put all those elements together and you are sure to have one great title that leads to your article getting read. The Internet has become the go to place to find needed information on virtually any topic under the sun. Most people have an idea of what it is that they are looking for and they want to find it fast. All you have to do is provide it and you will find success. After writing a great article you must include a resource box that will work for you, what I mean is, you need one that will motivate the readers to click through to your site. One way of doing this is to basically let the resource box be a continuation of your article. Let the flow continue through to the content of the resource box and there you should offer a free report, ebook, or other useful information for the reader that can be found by visiting your site. The location you send them to should include a webform that is there to collect names and email addresses. Upon completion of the form the reader will receive your free offer. Your new subscribers have essentially bought that free gift by providing you with their name and email address. You now have the opportunity to contact them again and again with other offers. Decide what directories you are going to submit your articles to. It is wise to have a plan and to stick with that plan. There are major players in the article directory fields but there are also smaller directories that specialize in various niches. You may want to submit your articles to numerous directories in order to achieve massive results. Learn what is and is not acceptable to most directories and adhere to those guidelines when writing your articles. This will speed up the submission process and get your articles approved more quickly.

Often, teleseminars can be run to develop apositive learning atmosphere with your audience while allowing a guest to come onthe call to contribute. If you want to learn about teleseminars, the best person inthe industry is probably my friend, Alex Mandossian. You can find him athttp://www.TeleseminarSecrets.com.Second, understanding what they are able to do, and write about them on a regularbasis so as to beef up their credibility in the eyes of your audience. While youmight think this is a complete waste of time, it’s a process known as ‘edification’.When you edify a person positively, they gain credibility. It also helps you fostera positive relationship with them. One person I know who talks about this a lot isMatt Morris, the founder and CEO of Success University. You can find out what hisbusiness is (hint – it has got everything to do with “affiliating”) athttp://www.MegaSuccessEmpire.com/special. Third, help plug any gaps they might have. It’s always useful to help other peopleto plug in their gaps, especially if there are problems with some area of theirbusiness. Do it discreetly. Many times, however, a small gesture like this can bringyou a very long way.

What are the pros and cons of practical article marketing.

Probably one of the biggest reasons people fail at article marketing is the simple fact that they go into it thinking that they are distributing sales letters. They see it as nothing more than that. It is this simple misconception that leads to their failure. They then get disillusioned and quit.Let me start by saying that it is not sales copy. In most cases, if not all, sales copy articles are not even accepted into article directories. These directories are looking for good content articles that have something to offer their readers. They are looking for original content in a market that thrives on original content. This market demands it. The search engines reward you for it.On the other hand, copied material will result in severe search engine penalties including loss of page rank and even blacklisting. Called plagiarism, the search engines take a dim view to this. Its not intended to be personal, but it is simply business. The search engines main business is to supply information. Duplicate content and plagiarised articles only serve to gum up their efforts to supply that information. So they took steps to streamline their results. These steps involved identifying which pages were original material and which ones were not. Hence the penalization of duplicated material.Of course, this is an over simplificaion of the process. The exact methods used by the search engines to determine that is a little more complex. Now that we have covered what article marketing is not, let's take a look at what it is. In one very real sense, article marketing is a form of niche marketing. They are being written to people who have interest in a specific subject (I.E. the niche.) The article marketer writes articles related to the market he is interested in. These articles can be specific concerns, tips, tricks of the trade, informative, how to, etc. Of course, the articles have to make sense. If they do not, the reader will likely move to another while scratching his head wondering what the writer was trying to say. This, in turn, translates into a severe lack of traffic to the writer's site. The point is that that articles are written in such a way as to keep the reader's interest without trying to sell anything. In this way the writer is establishing a relationship and building his own reputation as well. This increases the possibilties of high quality traffic to the writer's site. Why? The reader is interested in your site and what it has to offer. The best approach to article marketing is what I like to refer to is the coffee table approach. With this approach, the reader is put at ease. After all, you are not trying to sell anything. Following that, you talk about a specific concern or topic. It is important that the articles do not sound like lectures. If you have any experiences to add, include them as well. Doing this, the writer is adding a personal touch to the work. It will be something the reader can relate to. Include information that the reader can act on. This helps keep their interest and gives them the feeling that they can walk away with something of value.Remember that keeping the readers at ease and giving value are two musts in article marketing today. Avoid sales letter approaches and talk to readers, not at readers. Share information without lecturing. It works. The more information you share, in the right way, the more readers you will have.

A twist in the traditional Marketing Strategy

Certain traditional marketing strategies have stuck around for a long time for one main reason: they work. While many assume new, cutting edge techniques are necessary to grab the attention of consumers in our fast-paced, highly-technological world, the results of businesses using article marketing say otherwise. Perhaps consumers just want some good solid information rather than bright lights and obnoxious celebrity voice-overs. Article marketing is a well-established method used by businesses seeking to gain exposure without breaking the bank. Traditionally it was most prevalent in newspapers and magazines. A business owner would write an article about something related to his industry and in return for a mention of the business, the publisher would print the article free of charge. Article marketing has become increasingly popular with the rise of the Internet. Not only have the number of potential places to get published skyrocketed, most of these publishers need content more often than a weekly magazine or a daily newspaper. In fact, some of these publishers want updated information by the hour to satisfy the needs of those customers who visit their sites multiple times a day. They want something fresh to appear every time the customer visits the site. What article marketing does is combine the needs of the business (exposure) with the needs of the publisher( a steady stream of fresh content). This process is made even easier with article distribution services like ArticleMarketer.com. Instead of the business owner seeking out individual online publications, they simply submit their article to a distribution service. These services are able to submit articles to a hundred sources in the time an individual may be able to do one. Once the articles are submitted and published, the business owner starts to see some real results. Website traffic goes up. Search engine rankings go up. Recognition goes up. And as a result of all of these, sales also usually go up. As some claim the more traditional methods of marketing to be outdated, article marketing has risen to the challenge. It has proven to be an effective way to market businesses both big and small regardless of what they are selling. Article marketing has its roots in traditional publishing, but it also continues to adapt to the changing culture of this technological age. With the birth of new publishers each day, article marketing will continue to cater to the ever-increasing need for information. Business owners who decide to come along for the ride will continue to reap the benefits from this truly unique and effective marketing method.

Why do people think that the Internet marketing field has become saturated?

When you first decide to get your feet wet in the IM pool, your first endeavor might be to develop a pedestrian info based product to sell to supposedly ready buyers. This is a very common goal for newbies, and it well illustrates the 'me too' syndrome among most people entering this dynamic field today. So are there any 'vacancy signs' still lit, at the old IM Inn, these days?Is it true that the Internet marketing niche is already too saturated? Yes, it is well populated, that is almost an absolute given. However, if you can create a unique slant on an old idea, then you can definitely prosper, just as well as the others who dropped anchor in this niche harbor years ago.The World Wide Web is always changing, and new things are being created that give you an opportunity to break out onto the Internet marketing scene with a unique product that sells well despite the number of competitors in that niche. You may also want to consider staying away from the Internet marketing niche and paving a path in another niche, such as dog care, parenting, or financial advice. As long as there is traffic and interest though, then any niche can become 'packaged profts' for you as well. with the right marketing. What often happens is that the newbie ‘net' marketer has a specialty in an area outside of Internet marketing, and once the launch a highly successful information product on it, they write a "tell-all" eBook showing other Internet marketers how to do what they did. There's really no way for a niche to become fully saturated. So long as the market activity remains high in any one niche, there is always the possibility to improve on an old idea and make new inroads for greater profits. Print publications do this all the time. Whenever a writer submits a story to a magazine, they have to take an old idea and convince an editor they can write about it in a fresh manner. Many Internet marketers routinely try to convince others that their niche is, indeed saturated. Why would they do this? It could be they are worried you may produce unwanted competition for them or, others may get the very same uncomfortable idea.To determine if a niche is truly saturated, or better yet, if you have a shot at success, visit third party product sites such as ClickBank and see how many products are available for the similar idea you have as an Internet marketer. If you find several products already there, that is not automatically a bad sign Activity in a niche sector can be a positive sign. In fact, it may mean that there exists an increasing market dynamic, that you can possibly serve even better. If you see ten different eBooks on affiliate marketing, ask yourself, "Could I come up with a unique slant or a better way of doing things?" Sometimes all it takes is having verifiable proof of your own success to position you as an expert in a particular niche. It can't hurt to give it a real try. And, you just may find that you edge out all of your competitors for the sheer fact that sometimes the consumers want someone new and fresh. Consumers may really want a different twist on an old product or service and are open to a new marketer bringing it to them, forthwith.

Boring Part of Article Marketing

I love to use articles to promote my websites, for the simple reason that it works. Ever since I first read Jim Edward's ebook Turn Words into Traffic, at the beginning of my online adventure, I've seen the power of article marketing. Then Captain Tim Gorman recently came out with a free ebook that gave an almost fool-proof day-to-day formula for using this system to bring any website, with almost any keywords, to the top of the search engine rankings. Why would anyone not use article marketing to get free traffic to their websites? I suspect that more people don't do it because of the boring part of article marketing that I hate doing. Unfortunately, it's the part that comes right at the beginning of the process. It can take hours to get set up to mass-submit your articles, and those hours seem like time "stolen" from activities that appear to be more important. Here's the bottom line - you can get hundreds of one-way backlinks to your site by submitting just one article - then, of course, you'll want to continue submitting articles once a day or once a week to keep your search engine ranking and to get more links. There are several article submission software programs out there that will help you do it. But before any of those programs work, you have to actually create usernames, passwords, and pen names in every single article directory where you want your articles to appear. Leave out any of the steps, and even the best automated systems can't possibly work. There are 400 to 600 article directories now, and the number is growing every day. Some of the directories can get your article on the top of the search engines overnight, if it's a hot topic or the article is well written. Except for the big and popular sites, most of the directories are only good for the one-way links that search engines love. Even if nobody ever reads your article on those directories, it's still worth the effort to get those links. Unless you can hire your teenager or someone in India to do the directory account setup (the boring part) for you, here's how you do it: First, you find the list of article directories that your software program will submit to. (You can also submit articles by hand, and there are websites that will give you lists of article directories that accept submissions, but you would spend your life doing it by hand. A good submission software program costs under $80, so it's worth it.) Then click on the first directory on the list, find their signup button, and fill in the form. Be sure to use the autofill button on your Google toolbar for this part of the process to speed things up, and use an email account that you don't mind filling up with junk. I use a free Yahoo account for this purpose only. Always use the same password for every directory, to make it easy to set up your submission software later - but I make sure to use a password that I don't use for anything else - just in case. Then click the agreement box and submit your registration info. You'll get a confirmation screen, which directs you back to your email account. Find the email they just sent, click on the activation link inside the email, and you will get another confirmation screen. Now go back to the directory's main page, log in with your email address and password, and add a pen name. You can add several pen names if you want. The first time I used my article submission program, I signed up for hundreds of directories by hand but I didn't realize they almost all required a "pen name". I started the software with my new article, and then wandered off to do something else. The program chugged away for several hours, trying to submit my article to every directory site, and yet my article didn't actually show up on any of them because the pen name was missing. Big mistake. Once you have your logon, your password, and your pen name, go out to your submission software and input the information. That doesn't seem like it would take much time, does it? But multiply that by 4 to 600 directories, and you can see why most of your competitors are probably not using this powerful link-building system. It sounds boring, and it is - believe me. But the rewards are well worth it. Article marketing can bring enough traffic to your website so you don't have to pay for any advertising at all. If you can find the patience to set up those article directory accounts (or have a young member of your family do it for you), you'll be ready to move your website to the top of the search engines, for free.

Affiliate Marketing Domination - Winning The Affiliate Wars!

Dominating affiliate marketing and becoming a super affiliate isn't easy - it's a real jungle out there in the affiliate marketing wars. Every other affiliate is also trying to make the sale - of the same product! Since we were old enough to go to school, we've been pressured to fit in and be like everybody else. But now it's time to venture out into new territory, be different and learn to be a winning competitor if you hope to succeed in affiliate marketing. Unless you're a true Type A personality, this means some radical changes for you - no longer worrying about fitting in, being ok with making people jealous of you, ignoring those who talk behind your back - all necessary qualities in every super-affiliate and most others who want to have successful affiliate marketing businesses online. And because affiliate marketing really IS a business in it's own right, first you have to make sure that you have your own website dedicated to your affiliate marketing promotions. This is vital as it allows you to build your own affiliate marketing opt-in lists and an avenue to promote numerous affiliate opportunities and products instead of promoting just one affiliate link at a time - and having to start all over again for the next affiliate promotion you push. Next up, always avoid using the affiliate marketing promotional materials that are provided by the affiliate manager or merchant. You will find that you make more sales when you create your own material, including free gifts such as e-books and reports. Use the copy and e-mails provided as a basis for your own articles and blog posts, and study them for any great selling points that were missed - those are the type of points to really hammer home and separate yourself from the affiliate marketing wannabes...While you promote affiliate products in your affiliate marketing promotions, be sure to promote your website and your opt-in list more than you promote anything else. Super affiliates use article marketing, pay per click ads, forum signatures, social bookmarking and other Web 2.0 methods to drive targeted traffic to their affiliate marketing websites and opt-in lists, then promote the specific affiliate products to their opt-in lists and on their websites. Remember - bring the traffic to YOU - THEN send it to them.Once in a while, offer bonus gifts to those who purchase through your affiliate marketing links. You can create your own gifts, or use private label rights products. Most affiliates don't do this, however most of the super affiliates do. Save it for the more expensive affiliate marketing promotions though - it becomes less effective if you are constantly offering bonuses and, worse yet, you can end up like some who no longer get a buying response from their lists unless they offer some heavy-duty bonuses. If you condition your audience to always buying for the bonuses, you'll see your affiliate marketing results dropping when you don't have new bonuses for them.Another powerful affiliate marketing tactic is to host teleseminars to promote affiliate products. Your teleseminars MUST give your listeners useful information that they can use - and must be on a topic related to the affiliate product you're promoting. Don't make the bulk of the call a sales pitch - not only will they hang up, but they'll avoid your calls in future. Give them good solid information, either on your own or through an interview, for 55 minutes of a 1-hour call, then use that last five minutes to direct them to the affiliate offer on YOUR affiliate marketing website. Get their opt-in and then funnel them through to the merchant's salespage - and watch the nice bump you get in your affiliate marketing commissions! If most of your affiliate marketing activities are in the same niche, write and submit articles on a regular basis. Get your name out there and become a recognized expert in your niche. Also make it a point to actively participate in related forums and newsgroups - always with a link to your site in your signature. As your name recognition and credibility grow, so will the profits you're raking in from your affiliate marketing efforts! In summary, always strive to do things just a bit differently to stand out from the rest of the affiliate marketing crowd, but don't ignore any of the proven marketing methods just because other affiliates are using them. Use EVERY affiliate marketing strategy you can - just be sure to ALWAYS put your own spin on them!

What are the most costly mistakes of affiliate marketing.

At this point, you might have already heard all the sweet promises coming from so-called online marketing guru's. Especially affiliate marketing is hyped up to be the sleeping way to riches. The stories of rags-to-riches and success tales shouldn't be a stranger to you by now. If you are to believe these stories, everyone seems to be making a fortune out of it. But I can safely say that for every success story you hear, there are at least 10 marketers struggling or giving up.Why do a lot of people fail to realize the rewards available to them?Affiliate marketing is not a get-rich-quick scheme. If you're looking for one of those "$30,000 in 2 days" stories, you're looking in the wrong place. Not to say that it's untrue; but those people have reached a point after immense hard work that they can achieve such results. You read that well: lots of time, energy and effort needs to be put in before you can achieve those results.About 98 percent of all marketers do not obtain those precious results because they make these five awful mistakes, right from the start.Mistake #1I've emphasized this point several times already and I'm sure you've heard it numerous times: you can't earn anything without doing anything. Affiliate marketing may be known to launch anyone to success extremely quickly; but only because it skips the product-creation process. That also means you still have to do all those marketing strategies, traffic generation, SEO methods, copywriting and relationship building that the online business world requires of you.Mistake #2You can't just build a website and expect traffic to flow to it. You have to take steps to generate that. And if you don't, no traffic means no sales. Dumping all your affiliate links into one website does not mean anything if there's no marketing and traffic generation. Basically, traffic comes with the marketing, so keep marketing on your list of priorities!Mistake #3If you think you just need to set up your affiliate site and market it for awhile, you're are dead wrong. Just as the world is a dynamic place, so is the Internet. Trends and people change in the online world. If you do not study the latest techniques and strategies, your competitors will pass you by, and you'd be left behind eating their dust! Commit yourself to learning new things and developments as well as customer trends to beat the market.Mistake #4So, you've picked the first affiliate program and you like the idea so you decide to promote it. You then find another good program and do the same, and the same and the same until you have a giant list of unfocused affiliate programs. There must be a sense of coherence in your system. You'd want customers to buy a program from you knowing they can buy others from you in the future. Tackle your sites one at a time and create a better flow in your system and soon you'll experience soaring response rates.Mistake #5There's this affiliate program that simple gets you off your feet. It comes with the tools you need to promote it: sales letter, solo ads, e-mails and everything you need. You rush to set up a site and get everything in motion; but hardly any response arrives. Why so? Everybody else has done the same, and there is a vast number of 'cloned' websites around. That means you got many competitors for the same program. You need to be creative and innovative. Tweak the sales copy and e-mail ads. Make it more personal and unique; you will almost definitely be noticed and people will look at your affiliate program.Knowing and working around these five critical blunders will give you a great start to your affiliate marketing career. By knowing the path to failure, you can then position yourself best for success.

The "do good unto others" affiliate marketer

While the number one priority for any affiliate marketer should be making money, there are ways of combining this with aiding others, giving you that good, warm and fuzzy feeling. Scientific research has proven this to be an angle that will actually increase profitability through goodwill, as long as it is perceived as genuine. Remember that credibility is key and that blatantly egoistic "good reasons" are apt to backfire.CharityThe most obvious way of giving something back is by charity. You can either set aside a portion of your revenue to a charity of your choice, thus increasing donations the more successful you get. Or you can find an affiliate program which in itself gives a part of its proceeds to charity. Combining them both will, of course, double your efforts and make that warm, fuzzy feeling last even longer.Promoting the right affiliate programWhen promoting an affiliate program, you can make sure the companies involved in all aspects of the process (such as manufacturers and transportation) are all conducting their business in an ethical manner, avoiding products manufactured through the use of child labor or other inhuman work environments. In a similar way, you can try to look at the environmental aspects of the business. Though all physical products sold over the internet will be shipped and contribute to global warming, finding affiliate programs selling products manufactured nearby its target audience will make the transportation so much shorter. The list of possible things to look closer at grows long, you can easily spend an eternity trying to find the perfect affiliate program to promote. Try to focus on the things you feel are the most important, at least you are doing something.Helpful websitesAnother way of being helpful to others is to present them with useful information about serious issues in their lives. Even though most successful websites are helpful to their audience (otherwise they wouldn’t be successful, right?), some topics may help people with far more important issues than others.Making a helpful website about serious issues (such as diseases or similar) isn’t something to take lightly, but if you do your job right you might end up helping more people than you could imagine.Naturally, there are many less serious issues that still pose as huge problems for people. Look at the whole phenomenon of over weight; this is clearly a market where helping people with their problem can be combined with profitability, using weight loss affiliate programs. If weight loss isn’t your niche, there are many similar niches you can try.Hair loss, while not a life threatening disease, is a big problem for many men. Similarly the recent boom in alternative health has given affiliate marketers quite a few herbal alternatives to established diet pills and traditional health products.HonestyNo matter how you choose to go about with your website and your affiliate programs, the single most important factor is honesty. If you say you are giving part of the proceeds to charity - make sure you do. If you are giving people weight or hair loss tips – make sure you actually help people. There are far too many websites exploiting peoples weight issues or similar weak spots, only trying to make as much money as possible. Do not forget the fact that if people are following your advice, you have a moral obligation to actually give them correct and useful information. And if that isn't enough for you, just transfer it into cold cash: if you give solid advice which actually helps people, they are bound to tell their friends about it, generating more profit for you. On the same token people will be angry if they perceive that you're fooling them, and you'll start experiencing a rapid decline of both visitors and money

Article Marketing -- it is all in the title, buddy!

For the many authors who do not yet know how to make article marketing work for their business, they are actually wasting all their time and efforts. A total waste. Why? Because even though you are producing quality articles, they are not really getting near enough your targeted market. For those who have been taught about copywriting outside the online world, they would know that the title or headline is one thing that will determine if the content will be successful or not. In books, for example, the first thing that people see is the title. And people, being critical, have the tendency to judge the whole book just from the title. They will even get to the point where the headline alone will make them buy or not buy that book. This is the same thing with online print ads. But it is a different case with article marketing. In article marketing, your articles are targeted to audiences that have an interest in them. This is the basic idea behind distributing one online. You have to make sure that your article marketing will be seen by consumers and potential consumers alike. One of the most common misconceptions about articles online is that people will just read them at random just like they do with books or any printed materials they see offline. So with article marketing, you are assuming that people will just randomly check out your article once they see it posted. This is wrong. Visitors online do not just chance upon anything on the Internet. They are there in the first place to look for or they need something. When looking for the things they need, they do not just get into the first website they see. Most of them will probably use the search engines to achieve what they are looking for. Chances are, they will choose one of the more popular search engines and type in the keywords related to the topic they need there. Then the search engines will display the results found.Your goal now in article marketing is for your articles to be prominent in the search engines. Truthfully, the only difference between you and articles experts is time. If you will invest a little more time in reading, you will be that much nearer to expert status when it comes to articles. How do you make this possible? By using the right title. The success of your article will be based on the first 3 or 4 words of your title. It will determine how much traffic your article will get back to your website. This can only be attained when you have created keyword rich titles that will match the most common keywords related to your content. To know what are the rich keywords and the right ones that you should use for your articles, it would be best to use a keyword research tool. Some of this software is free but some are not. Try to look for the sites that are offering this software. It will prove to be a valuable tool needed for successful article marketing. It is vital that you learn and understand how to go about keyword research whether or not you are using a web-based research tool or not. When choosing a headline or title for your article, try not to include rubbish characters. These are quotes, asterisks or anything that search engines will find difficult to understand. You would not want them to discard your articles totally just because they cannot make any sense out of your title. Also, do not get into some of the search engine spam technique of giving out keyword rich titles that are in no way related to your articles. You will just get into big trouble once the search engines have filtered out people doing these things. If you want to get the most out of your article marketing strategy, you must master keyword research so that you can make keyword rich and clever article titles or headlines. Your pay off will be huge amounts of traffic to your articles and website thanks to the search engines who love reading titles. There is really no great secret to having a successful marketing strategy. Once you know some of the important factors that are needed to make it work, there will be no stopping you from getting the customers you want and the search engine position you sought. There's no doubt that the topic of articles can be fascinating. If you still have unanswered questions about articles, you may find what you're looking for in the next article.
